| Hi all, any suggestions for an easy replacement front drum brake? i.e. just spacers and a link arm,(once it's laced obviously. I know anything can be made to fit but previous experiences of what works are always useful. thanks J. Post by haggis on Dec 10, 2003, 1:40am Hi Panster, Go check out the double cam front brake for your springer at www.45partsdepot.com Still waiting for Kurt to get the Hydra Glide one out!!! Haggis P.s. kurt, the cash is burning a hole in my pocket........ Post by panster on Dec 10, 2003, 6:50pm Thanks Haggis, Yeah, I was aware of that as an option, just wondered if there was an efficient jap drum that was easily adaptable (and cheap). The two cammer would keep it all looking good though.... Thanks for the reply J. Post by panster on Dec 14, 2003, 10:26pm Would it work ok with a shortened cable arm? The look of that puts me off a bit, and if shortening it lessens the brakes' power, I'm back to where I started ! Post by BigMike on Jan 7, 2004, 9:12pm I have a couple of mechanical disc brake setups from a skid steer 6-wheel swamp buggy, the rotors are small and may be of use someday. ever think something like that might be adapted? dual 6" mechanical discs? |
