I am experimenting
with a CV carb on my 49 Pan. I replaced an old Keihin and decided
to try it since I had one already. Can you guys running CV's
comment on your start up procedure? Cold start, full choke, one
twist, etc, etc? Warm start no choke etc. Thanks

Here are my procedures...
Winter (Arizona winters are mild w/ lows around 30F):
Cold Start - Ignition off, full enricher, 2 full throttle twists, 2 kicks slowly.
Ignition on, kick.
Warm Start - Half twist on the throttle, 3/4 enricher if the motor has been sitting
for an hour or so, otherwise no enricher. No primer kicks, key on, kick.
Summer (Arizona summer are brutal with 110F+ a regular occurance):
Cold Start - Half twist of the throttle, no enricher. Key off, 2 primer kicks.
Key on, kick.
Warm Start - No throttle, no enricher, no primer kicks with key off. Key on,
kick.
