I run a rejetted CV carb from a '96 Evo on my panhead. Works really well. If you got your CV from an Evo or TC88 you'll need to rejet it. Probably too rich as those motors have more displacement. My carb is setup as follows:
Slow Jet: #48
Main Jet: #175
Needle Jet: 0.115
Needle Type: N86E
Idle Mix Location: 3 turns
Engine Specs:
Displacement: 74c.i. +0.060
Cam: Crane 296A
Compression: 8.5:1
Exhaust: Free Flowing (upsweeps with 22" baffles)
