Should all
45 manifolds work on a 45 solo and servicar? I have a later servicar
motor and manifold number 27020-59 that does not seem like it
will work.Thought it came from a servi as well.Seems to wide.any
ideas on this might help.

David,
All 45 intake manifolds should work on all 45 flatheads from '32 until '73 as
long as the intake spigots on the cylinders are stock and unmolested. The change
in the late model servis was to accommodate the new Linkert DC series carbs which
have only a 2 bolt mount instead of the old 3-bolt setup.
Try loosening the cylinder base nuts on both cylinders and see if you can wiggle
them into alignment with enough space for the new manifold. Install the manifold,
snug everything up, check alignment, and then torque it all down.

Thanks will try it tomorrow. The dc linkert is what I have to use and it bolts
up to this manifold.Maybe the manifold nuts I have are for another.find out tomorrow.

David,
Always good to here a success story, that's what this forum is all about, a "band
of brothers".
Don't forget to leak test the installation when you're done. 45's aren't as touchy
about manifold leaks as the OHV's but it is still important and will make a big
difference in dialing in the carb.

Found another small problem ,Have two old dc12 carbs. Both are missing throttle
lever, have disc and shaft, these spare parts seem to be hard to find.Everybody
seems to run the other linkert or mikuni.who has spare parts for this one?
