I'm trying
to figure out if I can mount my 48 Panhead in a rubber mount
frame without too much grief. I'm going to run front and rear
belt drive, 5 or 6 speed kicker trans., 150 rear tire. Studying
the Paughco and V-Twin frames.
The early 80's Sturgis model ran a Shovel with belt drive front/rear,
why not a Pan? I don't know if that model had the engine bolted
to the tranny or not. Any suggestions?

Hi Travelling, hope you've got spare time 'cause you will need some; a friend
of mine tried; he had to built a whole frame and it still doesn't works really
well, tranny and motor must be linked together and then rubber mounted, then
the all stuff shouldn't move in lateral but frontal way, this is the only i can
remember.

Tj,
thought about that myself once..........but was advised very strongly against
it by two pan rebuilders.
Way too much shaking going on there! Haggis
