Re: Tighting primary and secondary chain

The adjustment screw on the right rear of your tranny will only pull it straight back and not side to side. You didn't mention the year of your bike, but if it is a drum rear you also have to readjust the length of the brake rod. Take your chai guard off and look to see if the rear chain is running ...

Re: V-Twin Mfq 4 Spd

Wow to bend your shifter takes some doing. I would take the tranny out and pop the top and make sure the drum is not binding. And second, as has been stated, time to look at the forks and manually put it into each gear by moving the forks and gears to see if they are binding. I would also pull the f...

Re: MPG for 49 pan

Thanks for the replies Yes, it does have a reserve. I just placed a small spring under the knob to keep it up all the way. I think I have a small intake leak. Can you explain how the clutch slipping would affect mpg? No issues between tanks. When she starts to sputter the right side looks pretty dr...

Re: Leaking fuel shutoff rod

I use the copper crush washers with good results. Are you sure that the shut off rod is getting a good seal at the tip and that the shut off rod has a good alignment. Carl's Cycle Supply will sell you a shutoff rod with a Peak Seal Tip on it. I did the tank alignment procedure for the shut-off rod p...

Re: Panhead Electric Start

Have to grind the lip on the areas around the motor where the tin mates to it. I believe you can use some offset sprockets so that you don't have to replace the motor shaft. There are oil bags made for e-start set up with your frame (believe Pauchgo makes them). He'll maybe even a softtall oilbag ca...

Re: 47-50 Tank Emblems

Thanks... called him and paint is on the way.

One more question but not paint related. The emblem gaskets I have are too short. Can't remember where I bought them and can't find the receipts for them either (been a couple of years). Any suggestions/recommendations for where to go for the proper ones?
