Clutch pushrod questions

Hi Gentlemen, There is a similar thread in the Knuck section but i didnĀ“t want to hijack, so i put it in here. My gearbox from a 1957FL was overhauled by a reputable shop, and they replaced the origin pushrod with a new one (i think it is andrews but not for shure), as you can see, the new one is ab...

Re: pads

What about high temperature silicone, i think it should work well also. Cleaning the surfaces is essential of course.

Adjustable Fork question

I am hunting for a adjustable fork for for my 57FL, now i got an offer with a fork bracket with stem with the number 45697-69 iso 45697-50A. The -69 is drilled for the neck lock (which it isnĀ“t normally but the seller says, that this was done by the moco). Acc. to the seller the -50A and the -69 are...

Re: V Twin tanks

I have a set of v-twin tanks where i flattend the area of the emblems and soldered a mounting plate for the emblems on. They are handshift tanks and pressure-tested. Not used since new. I was lucky to get a oem-set and so i would sell them. I am asking 200 euros for them. Here are some pics: http://...

If this v-twin is crap why donĀ“t use the one from colony if oem isnĀ“t available. Or is this crap either?

Re: Tappet strainer

Hi Richie,

Offtopic, sorry but you wrote you damaged your case with an aftermarket genny gear. I am in the need for an replacement too, but here in europe itĀ“s difficult to get an oem one - just aftermarket gears. Is this all crap or is there a chance to get a good one for an 32E.
Thank you,
Thomas

Headlight rivets

Hi Gents, I am wondering if the mounting plate inside and outside the headlamp bowl of an 57FL was riveted in place before or after painting? If after, isnĀ“t there a problem with electric supply? And if not, arenĀ“t there unprotected metal surfaces which will quickly start to rust? I hope not to both...

Re: Aftermarket Springer with timken

Thank you rubone, i thought that the inline one where used - my mistake. Was the offset used through all of the pan-years? Any disadvantages from the inline? I think the clearance from the fender is better. Or is the offset better for handling. If it sits 2" deeper isnĀ“t it too deep for ground clear...

Aftermarket Springer with timken

Hi Gents, On my 57FL i have the original hydra-fork with the oem bearing cups and timken bearings. Is it possible to switch to an inline aftermarket springer fork without changing the cups in the steering head and use the same timkens as with the hydra fork - with all the other stuff used on the spr...
