Star Hub lacing to a later model rim

I am trying to lace up a star hub to an Italian made H-D rim. The pattern isn't working out to to match the Panhead manual. Inner spokes are going clockwise when they need to go counterclockwise and same thing goes for the outer set. Did H-D change the pattern over 60 some odd years?

Yes. In the mid 70's timeframe the lacing pattern was changed. The older pattern had the inside spokes on both sides of the hub running the same direction. After the change the inside spokes on one side run clockwise and inner spokes on the other side run counter-clockwise.

Camping & grass yes, but squirrels & rabbits shoot out like a spud-gun!---I was on the left of a trail & my buddy with the 45 was in front of me & a rabbit ran threw the rear tire iwhip-round & launched into my boy on my right!--(in his chest)--as big as he is he had to stop & catch his breath, he said it felt like a hardball to the chest!---As for the rabbit ,it lay on his tank so he skinned it & put it in the cooler for later!---Sorry for the hi-jack of post but I had to tell ya!---RICHIE
