What do you guys think of Maxxus tires? I want to keep the wide white walls . I have Dunlap miss matched set on there now and the front is about due and will replace both front and rear. Any other suggestions?

I never heard of the tyres you mentioned Maxxus,
but my philosophy is: Get the best tyre you can buy,
cause it's all you got, between you and the pavement!

I have been using Metzlers for the last 5 years and I think
they are very good (M88) I do a lot of miles in the wet and dry
and they hold on. Also the profile is high like original tyres so you don't loose
ground clearance.
I know they do a nice whitewall in the same tyre.
My mate uses Coker tyres, and they have been good for him,
not the repop of the Firestones.
The repop tyre might be the go if they have update the compound, but I don't know.

I used Continetal Tyres on my 65 once and they were sticky, loved them, but
you could see the tread disappearing ever time you look at'em and I'm a tranquailized
type of rider most of the time.

I went back with the Dunlap's , I got good service out of them. Wasn't sure about the quality of Maxxus tires. Thanks for the reply.
