I have some old rims out in the yard, and was checking them out, when I noticed one had a hub with a slot for square keyway or axle pin, also shaft hole is taper. Is this a sidecar or trike wheel or?. Also, where are the stamps for rim manufacturer on early 16 in. rims? If you were wondering why they are in the yard, I planted them a while back and watered them regularly and nope, they just wont grow into a whole cycle.

Yep, the hub sounds like a swervicar's.

OEM rims were made by Kelsey-Hayes, who used at least two different identifying stamps, usually inside near the nipple hole. One stamp was circular with the name in script, the other was just K-H initials.

I suspect pre-1951 Servi-car rear rims with spokes (of course)

Plant a money tree right next to those old rims and you should be able to grow a servicar out of them! ;D

This is getting difficult to follow, 1st, it had a hub w/a 'keyway' & a taper, now it's a star hub.
I think it's off a Harley.

Read your Palmer's "How to" it should be in there........
