58R police generator parts
I need of the part on the right in both pictures. Might be the part on the left in the second picture, but I think either would work.

Re: 58R police generator parts
I have one on my generator like the one on the left. I thought some previous owner had done that to it.

Re: 58R police generator parts
Does anyone know what size thread the 58R generator armature shaft is? part # 4 in the diagram below. There is a bit of wear on the thread on the shaft and the nut. I would like to clean these up a bit. Just a few little details and this generator will be ready to test. Also would anyone know what the Harley part number is for the fan baffle plate is? Item # 10....

Re: 58R police generator parts
according to my parts book the PN for the baffle plate is 30061-49
and # 4 in the diagram is PN 7634 Nut,10-32 x 1/8" x 5/16" hex (brass)

Re: 58R police generator parts
Thanks Hydra. I don't think that's right on the nut size though. The best I could measure was .355 OD on the threads on the shaft. Could have been 3/8" but now worn down, but Harley also used some odd thread sizes too. The nut appears to be nice steel and appears to be like other OEM hardware they supplied.

Re: 58R police generator parts
you are right the armature shaft washers # 5 and 6 are both 3/8 so the nut should be the same probably a mistake in my parts book
