Thanks for the detail Rob, My basic reason for the curiosity of the tank was to see if I could get oil to the rockerarms. I don't have my pans on so I could witness the oiling. If it got there I would be done with it.

It doesn't take long to get oil upstairs when kicking it. My heads ran late and I put motor in the frame with the heads off. I hooked up the feed oil line and poured about a quart in tank. It took only about 10-20 kicks and the oil started coming out the oil hole in the cylinder. It was reassuring to me.
