Very cool idea .... I also had thoughts in that area, but with this motor the center stud can not turn in the case due the the Big Bore jugs (3-5/8") case bore cutting into the case stud .... To get around that, the mount and stud would need to be loaded as one piece and then installed onto the case ... I'm still in the think tank with how to pull this off...
Suggestion, get an Allen head NUT from McMaster, mill the bottom of your bracket open at the bottom as narrow as possible to slide down over the stud. Mark where the stud comes thru and make a counterbore over the slot to fit the Allen nut. The lower part of the counterbore will keep the bracket from moving up and most of the load is down.

An idea

Nice fix on the carb support, complicated, but nice.
I like the blue silicone seals. They last forever, and never need replacement as they will not dry out or take a set like the cork ones do. I love 'em....

Carb mount is done .... Yippy-Ki-Yi-Yaaaaa

Another fitment problem came to light ....

Image

No room for the intake seal and worm clamp ...

A bit of grind time took care of that problem ....

Well .....

That's pretty much it for the "Dual Crabs"

Moving on to other needs for this motor build ...

Cylinders came 0.030" undersize, so the next thing to do is bore the critters ...

Want to Thank all that followed along and lend a helping hand ....
