jockey shiftin'

Post by nmaineron » Thu Oct 12, 2017 2:10 pm

I have decided to go with a ratchet top hand shift on my project. I have two drums, one with the -52# and the other is the a late FX and they are opposite of each other. I liked how my knuckle shifted 1st forward where my pan was 1st back.I am going to set it up with 1st forward. The shifting gears are a bit different also, one has an extra tooth and a few raised places on the perimeter that must do something,I'll have to give it a better look. So is there a selection of the parts that make a better set up? I have never gone jockey, always at the tank. Any thoughts?

Your best bet is with a OEM jockey-shift lid. However I have put a hand shift on a ratchetlid in the past & it was alot of fun!---Its all up to what you want personally//Those raised places im guessing are for your detent???/use the 52# drum,----Respectfully----Richie
