Hi, I'm John, new to the forum, thought I would throw out a couple pics of my ubuild project, sorry to the purists but right now I'm battling the recession so she's not factory! Transplanted tapered shaft sprocket into compensator, 4 speed Flattie!

Wow John, interesting project to say the least. Recession or not it doesn't look like you're cutting any corners on that build, it all looks top notch.

How many teeth on that rear sprocket?, have you calculated the final drive ratio for the whole combination? How close will the final ratio be to a stock WL?

I love the '59 tank badges on the narrow tank, what did the tank come from?

I also ride a flathead.1947 45" .I dont know if I can pic,but mine is also not stock.it is not quite done,but I gota ride

Thanks guys for all the comments.
I'm not sure about the final drive ratios, the sprocket was one I had laying around so I'll mess with it if things aren't working once the bikes in running shape.
The tank is a King Sportster that I found at a swap, I wanted to pay homage to the Brit bikes of the 50's (like my dad's old Ariel 500), so I had it chromed then painted over the front part with a rattle can. It also came in handy to cover some bodywork I had to do on a small dint, pretty hard to chrome bondo, so I filled the dint after chroming, then painted over it.
