I got my '47 Knuckle completed about a month ago, was firing up w/3 primer kicks weather cold or hot, about 2 weeks ago it started sumping oil into the primary, about a 1/2 pint on the floor, so I took the advice of one of the members and put in a Viton ball, yesterday I checked the oil and the tank was empty, all the oil about 3 quarts is in the crank case, and I can't even get the bike to fart, could this be a reason for the bike not starting, and what is the best way drain the crank,also I swapped back the steel check ball, and I seen it was .005 smaller then the steel ball. I would think a good portion of the oil is sitting in or leaking out of the primary. I would just kick it through and let the oil come out the breather. I would not try to remove the crankcase plug. When the engine is in the frame the plug is hard to get to and easy to crossthread when trying to reinstall.
