Race Frame Engineering

Post by myers1960 »

Does anyone know if Race Frame Engineering is making Frame repair parts and castings for frames?
If so, do they have a US distributor? If they are no longer in business is anyone fabricating the tubing and castings , as original like they did? Thanks

I recently read somewhere that Steve was not doing well with his health, maybe the AMCA forum?

Not sure if these guys will have what you need, but take a look:

I got a set of axle plates from John, super nice, helpful. I can't comment on correctness (?) but I can say they are very nicely made.

I appreciate the info. I got a complete price list and part numbers on the repair components that he made while at the Davenport meet several years ago. It's a shame if his health is not good, he was a good fabricator and made some nice components. I appreciate the other web sites you posted. I was hoping that someone is remaking tubing sections like Steve did. Complete bottom rails, bent and flattened..... ?

Wasco makes complete bottom rails. If you want the left side flattened, call him. Also call him to order whatever length you want.
Some people offer the same tube for both knuckle and pan, but the front angle is slightly different, and Wasco makes them different.
Be patient when you call him, sometimes he can't get to the phone or can't hear it ring.
