galvanizing recomendations

Hey guys looking for advise,
who to have do the galvanizing for my 59 FLH??
I live in michigan and haven't found anyone to do it for me.
I dont care if i have to ship it somewhere as long as the quality and turnaround is good

Do you mean Cadmium plate? H-D didn't galvanize anything..

Just do Google search for cadmium platting in your area. I find it hard to believe you can't find a shop in the heart land. Bob L

My experience over the years having inquired locally about cad, anodizing or parkerizing is to find a "back door man" at a plating shop to do your parts. With the exception of chrome, walking in the front door of a plating shop with a couple coffee cups of hardware gets the response of "minimum order of $250 or a flat "no". Plating shops in my area are maybe real independent or I'm just probably out of touch with reality. Gary

im getting the same type results. nothing i can find within a hour drive and the ones i have emailed have yet to even respond, maybe its because im not very good at communicating in a typed message. anyway thanks for the ideas. think ill start by contacting retro cycle.
