Why is the O.D. of my axle sleeve smaller than the I.D. of my fork?? Do I need to get a different sleeve?

All the Hydra-Glide drum brake sleeves are the same diameter. How about a pic of the sleeve you have?

Looks to me like the hole in your fork leg is too big:

Doesn't look egged to me-it looks like it's round, but too big.

The hole in the leg should be approximately 13/16, that is .8125, your sleeve is correct as it should be a few thousandths smaller to slip fit. Someone must have bored the leg for a custom application. I would have a steel sleeve machined to press in the leg and allow the sleeve to slip fit in order to service the brake. The sleeve could be drifted out to service the fork internals. Far easier than welding and machining the leg. How is the other leg, is it also oversize?

The other leg is good. The left side is round, just big. I will be machining a sleeve for it. Thanks for your info 🤘

Sorry but it made me think of the name of the daily breakfast buffet at the Foxy Lady strip club in Providence, RI
