Well, so there are problems with them. I'm from Finland, so I'm not in the same state with you, haha. I've been tracking some oem heads here in Finland, but if they are rare in the US, they sure are really rare here! I mean nobody has them, or if has, won't sell. My front head is just fine, no repairs whatsoever needed there, but will need a solid good runnable rear head. I've been searching oem heads from eBay also, asked for better pics of one but the owner hasn't replied yet. If someone is holding nice rear head I'm interested!

Just for curiosity i'd still like to hear others experiences of V-Twin panheads. I'm gonna pass them anyway, as a student i can't afford to pay 1200 bucks for crappy heads.

Yeah motortechnic mfg makes sweet parts! Looks really high quality, been drooling those panhead cases before.. But this also is not an option for me. Empty heads 2,100€, heads with valves 2,500€, complete heads 3,100€.

New member here. Pics are the STD Rear head off my 65 just finished it tonight. Inherited the bike from my Uncle 2 years ago and guesstimate 20k miles on it. Heads were great. One Rocker is just at the edge of allowable end play, but just tore it down, cleaned it and lapped in new valves. New springs and it is ready to go. Excellent quality in the STD products.
