65 start

Post by fourthgear » Sun Jun 22, 2008 2:42 pm

Just to let you know , my 65 started right up , I don't think it took a complete rev. to do it . The electric leg is a change for sure . I have some minor problems , rear intake push rod tube is leaking at the bottom , gen. light and neutral lights are mixed up ( wasn't me ,ha ha ) I have a gen in there I cleaned up from my shelf and a Franks regulator and when I started her up , I forgot to flash the gen. and did not get higher voltage at first when put to 2K rpm , but just before the shut down I was reading almost 14 volts and it was working ok with revving and about 12.62 @ idle , go figure . And lastly I have to adj. the clutch handle ,it wanted to grind a little going through the gears . I know the rest is to spec's . I let you know how my first ride is , I'm waiting for a new front brake master cyl..
