Curb weight of a Duo-Glide

#1

Post by panache » Sat Oct 28, 2006 7:54 am

I've got a stock '64 Duo-Glide and I've been wondering what the curb weight of it is... The only number I've found is for a '65 Electra-Glide -- 783 pounds dry weight. The '64 doesn't feel that heavy just teetering it from side to side. Did Harley ever have a dry weight spec. on the Duo?

Thanks!

The weight on a 1958 FLH is 648 lbs, of course it depends on how much extras are added but thats the base weight, I don't think the 64 will be much diff. in weight.

Fourthgear,

thanks for looking that up! 650 pounds or so feels about right. If the weight was closer to 800 pounds, I figured that I had better put a few more pounds of air in the tires. The sidewalls are all cracked with less than 1000 miles on em. Maybe I ran em too low.

Thanks!
