i have seen it demonstrated at davenport.

it is more of a soldering operation than welding. it is impressive to see the guy weld holes shut in pop cans.

I bought a hand ful of rods from the guy at Davenport... They do work. I was able to fix the holes in my soda cans, and tried them on some 3/16 alum. scrap. Haven't used them on anything of substance yet.

I have a tranny bellhousing that has a hole broken out of it. I think I may try a repair there.
Could be interesting.

Who-ever tries it, let us know the results !!
I read some posts on some moped-sites, and they had some experience : NOT satisfying !
BUT maybe one needs some practice first, and maybe the 3. repair would/could be ok.
Their advice : take it to a welder and have it TIG-welded.
I did so and i am more then satisfied( ( didn't cost me anything and the result was ok , all thanks to a friend of mine, so i should be !!)
