1/4x24 bolts ?

Post by doc308 » Fri May 29, 2009 2:40 am

I've acquired a nice pair of OEM shovelhead lifter blocks which I want to use on my '48 panhead. What I need are the proper bolts--specifically , I need 1/4x24 thread-sized bolts ( preferably Allen heads) with flat mounting surfaces ( ie not countersunk) to adapt these lifters to my engine. Does anyone know where I can find these odd-sized bolts?

The screws you need are available from V-twin.Most aftermarket generic tappet block sets take flat based screws and are simply shipped with 2 sets 1 in 1\4x20 and 1 in 1\4x24.Anytime we install a set of these I always keep the spare set,so ask around your local shops they may have some.
