Be very carfull here. There are three Jeffersons in the state of PA. Jefferson is incorperated into the township of Spring Grove which is located just a little ways below York, Pa where the MoCo is located. The Maryland end of the state. You better have GPS if your showing up after dark. Bob L

Should be up there at opening on Friday. Unfortunately, I'll be in the car as the OL decided she wanted to join me. Mixed feelings there: proud that she's into going, but bummed I won't be riding...

I remember last year seeing a post on another site where a guy was supposed to meet his friend at Jefferson that he had not seen in years. His friend was late so he decided to call him only to find out he was at Jefferson PA near the other end of the state trying to find the meet. I guess they didnt meet up last year.

Say hello to my buddy Steve Lippoldt while you are there. I know this week for him was about packing parts to sell for the meet. Unfortunatly I am getting ready for a week long ride the following weekend and can not make it. Would have been nice to hook up with some of the other members!

Just for the record, deals are still out there. Got a set of cherry early pan tanks, with original emblem mounts still on there, painted the right color (black) for about half what they've been going for in rough shape. Saw several sets there that needed a lot of work going for $1200, I paid $600. Took me over an hour to convince myself that there were original, but after holding them side by side with an NOS (yeah, NOS) tank, they're the real deal.

Tanks are early pans, '48-'52(?). Took another look at 'em under better lighting, can't believe how clean they are. One tab was perfectly repaired, but other than that they're perfect. They must have been hot tanked at some point, there's not even any rust inside. I'm still pinching myself...

Jefferson was great! I managed to get rid of a lot of small stuff I’ve been dragging around for years. Panpal, Mr. Lippoldt is just fine as I handed him one of my JD motors this weekend. Unfortunately the end for us came on Saturday morning. The vender next to us relayed what his people in Ohio had just sent him and my son Parker confirmed on his fancy hand held whatever you call it. We had a major storm front coming in. We bugged out quick. We didn’t even get two mile out and the rain started coming down. With the tragedy of Steve’s death the Chesapeake chapter did great job as always. They moved us out of the wetlands to the dry north end. Great people, cold bear, great meet as always. Rest in peace Steve, Bob L

I should have read this last week before I went. Bob, I remember stopping under the Con Ed tent and commenting on it. Anyway, I'm sure you'll remember me, I was the old geezer with a harley hat and a gray beard   I was camped with Bill Powell, one of our friends from Canada, just down the way from you.
It was a good meet, picked up a bunch of stuff I needed for a new project. I wimped out and left the flathead home, rode the '65 pan instead, the windshield and big fenders won out. It was about a 250 mi ride down there. Pulled out Saturday morning and and rode in off and on rain all the way home. Overall, I agree they did a great job with it. I even met a guy from Baltimore on a nice Bobber Flathead who has read my spiels about sporty pumps on BTSV's. The internet is truly amazing.
