Description/remarks:

Address:does anyone have any input for the subject of putting a bendix carb onto a 65 panhead engine. I'm thinking of making this switch using a bendix carb with an adjustable main jet. anybody you know of ever had any success with this type of switch?. I don't want the S&S, or any other carb that needs a dual throttle cable.---- Hippo

Hippo!--The spring is plenty good on the S&S for single cable operation!--If you want to run the Bendix -Just get the 1 with the ADJ. mainjet,Along with manifold & o-Rings,Carb.-support & after installation--(BUBBLE-TEST)--& your good to go!--Your aircleaner will have to be drilled 3/8 hole for Airhole!-(you will see where on the front of the carb. top right corner)!--Bendixs are plenty & run good on a stock 74!---Richie

Hippo!

Older Bendix carbs without an adjustable main were just fine too.

But I must ask:
What carb do you wish to "switch" from the machine?

Personally, I would never switch out a stock Linkert for a Bendix, but that's just me.

For stock bars, use 56220-58 sleeve to change rotation of throttle cable, and 27449-72 brkt at the carb to hold cable. There are several Pans with Bendix carbs in our family.
