Reserve setting

Okay, maybe I have not looked hard enough but I am not finding how the fuel shut off works on my 49. Are you suppose to open the pet cock and pull up for on position and down for reserve or the other way around ?

Thanks,

Tracy

Oh yeah, the petcock is on top of the left tank.

MKSKEAM,

Thank you, It would appear then I have a problem because with it open(screwed to the left) I run out of gas before reserve.

Any ideas about such a condition.

Thanks,
Tracy

hello,

I would pull out the rod and see if it has been sealed off or has gunk in the rod. It is hollow from the bottom to the holes in the side about half way up. Or there is crap in the seat area.I would pull off the fuel line to see if the flow is okay, in the normal run pos. and the res. pos.
