Velocity stack questions

#1

Post by Big_Bear » Sun Jun 09, 2002 6:16 pm

I run a velocity stack on an S&S Super "E" carb on my 1958 Panhead. I am wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for an air filter set up. I have tried a few ideas and they don't hold up once on the road. Any help would be appriciated.
Added note: I do want to continue the use of the velocity stack but I want to also protect the engine. The best of both those worlds would be great. Also protection from the rain with a v-stack, anyone have ideas?

Do you want an air filter in combination with the velocity stack? Maybe K&N have a solution, otherwise I should use a S&S air filter.

Just saw an ad in Hot Bike(august).Super stack intake system. Velosity stack w/ removable air filter element.
http://www.chromebillet.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or http://www.stones-custom.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; says it fits super "E" or "G"
Good luck
