First time on site. In advance thanks for this site and any help. How do you remove and replace the check valve at bottom of float bowl? Also on upper sealing surface of the float bowl is a long six sided screw, turns but will not come out. Did not want to force it. What is it and how do you remove and re-install ? Thanks again.

Accelerator jet ! Thank you. Can I remove and replace the jet, or does the shop have to do it ? Drilled the check valve out, came out easy. Thanks again.

And depending upon the kit you purchase the accellerator pump will not fit properly either. Don't trash the original you might just have to reuse it.

Also, since you turned the accelerator pump nozzle make sure you reorient it so it is squirting into the manifold when you open the throttle.

I can't really see a reason to attempt removal of either part.

Thanks for the advice. I'll reorient the jet and use the old pump . Thanks.
