Hi Guys,
Has anyone run a Mikuni TM38 on a stock Pan?
If so, what jets and what mounting did you use?
Many thanks,
Spinner

Do you mean a VM34? I would think a 34 is a bit small for a pan, normally that would take a 38mm.34s routinely go on 45" SV engines. As a semi educated guess I would start out with a #25 pilot jet,a 6DP1 needle a 2.5 cutaway and about a 250 mainjet.Start the needle in the center position. This is likely going to be a bit over rich but its far better to foul a plug than to burn a piston.Ought to pull like a tractor right off idle with that little carb!

Thanks. You are correct, it should read 38mm. But it is a TM (flatslide).

Thanks for clarification. The numbers I gave are for a VM type and do not apply to the flatslide.I dont use flatslides because I dont see them at the swap meet for 10 or 20 dollars but I bet the Mikuni website can give you the info you need.
