Help with these floorboards please...

#1

Post by Gotnoclass » Tue Jul 24, 2012 4:34 am

Hello Gents! Wondering if anyone could shed some insight regarding these floorboards. Was getting ready to parkerize them for my 58 FLH project and noticed a difference in the set. Please refer to the pictures. One board seem to have a flat on the both the inner brackets, and one is rounded. The other difference, is one's mounting brackets is turned inwards on one side than the others. I read somewhere that this is intentional but I may be wrong. There is no sign of impact, and there is no sign of damage, but as I know myself I could be totaly wrong... Any help would be appreciated!!

I have seen both styles of brackets before.
The brackets should be paralel, test with steel rod through four holes, straighten if bent.

Thanks Jerry! Would you know what years both bracket configuration is correct for? Could it be that swing arm models would have one of each on each side?
Thanks, Ran
