I cant seem to find my service manual so could someone explain to me how the seat post assebly is removed from the frame?

there is a nut at the very bottom of the pogo, it is on the underside of the frame, but it may be buggered up, from runnin over things and such....
undo the seat pin at the top and it should slide up and out.
