1954 anniversary emblem fit

Can someone that has a '54 with the emblem on the front fender please post a close up of how it fits with the fender? I have the emblem and it doesn't fit against the fender I have. The upper parts of the "V" stick up above the fender. Someone on another board says they aren't supposed to. Is there a difference between the older original fender and newer ones as far as the curvature where it mounts? If you have one please post a pic. Thanks, Jim

Thanks hydra74. Hard to tell from straight on but it looks like yours does fit close to the fender at the tips of the V. Jim
