What style bars are on the flat head in this picture?

Those are the optional inline "Speedster" bars used on the solo models from 1940 to 1948, they were also the OEM bars used on the WLA and WLC military models.

The other style was called either "Buckhorn" or "Standard", they were wider, flatter, and extended back a little more toward the rider.

the picture is not very clear but the bars are home made
they are less wide and the ends are bent down
