1965 fuel tanks

Where is a good source to locate a set of 65 five gallon tanks ? Has anyone utlised a after market set-up, do they fit? I have 3.5 and would like to run 5 gallons, do they both utilise the same rod shut-off. Looks as though you can buy jobber tanks, but I think the contour is different, more rounded, or bloated looking. Sorry don't want this post to be confused as a want add, but a local guy around my part, had a set of dinged up tanks hanging on his wall, and wanted over a grand for them. Gearbox.

65 tanks are one year only, 5gal with the old style shutoff.
Priced a tank for a new twincam- over $700.
What they are worth is determined by how bad you want them.

For $1000, I'd start putting shut-offs in chubble tanks!

The metal in the extended '65 5-gal tanks proved rather flimsy, and the shut-offs were often knocked out of line. It is an easy fix, but you can still point it out to try to beat the price down.
