At the Harley museum there is a lovely green and white 58 duo glide. Does anybody know which green color is it?A Harley color? Please help me.You can find great pictures on that 58 in a book called archive collection by Holmstrom/Lettingwell.

I believe Panhead is correct, none of the popular references indicate that green was offered as a color option for the 1958 big twin models, although it could have been a special order item as a color available on previous year models.

In the original thread about 1958 colors I posted part of a dealer order blank which shows that Hi-Fi Blue and Hi-Fi Green were offered for the lightweights only.

Chris Haynes has a wonderful collection of factory order blanks on his website, unfortunately they stop at 1956 and jump to 1973, there is no complete 1958 order blank.

Here is a picture of an original paint 1958 Hummer in Hi-Fi Green & Birch White that showed up at Davenport this year.

Oddly, the same 'gap' shows up in "The Legend Begins", the HD publication. I wonder why......

Try this site, http://www.freewebs.com/colorwrite. Lots of info. More info, '57 Flamboyant Green was a s/o for '58, plus '58 s/o was Tropical Green. Tony.

Well, what's the problem ?
If Andersson like the green, green he'll get !!

Me i prefer the '58 colourscheme above the original '59 on my bike, so next paintjob '58 it's gonna be !

Got these from the fall '09 AMCA magazine, www.hdpaint.tk and www.precisionmotorcyclepainting.com. Might have some color options. Tony.
