Steering lock parts

#1

Post by joe » Sun Dec 12, 2010 12:50 am

Hi List,

I have the steering lock for my bike but no plunger or spring. NOSPARTS has the spring but not the plunger (48152-30) does anyone know where to get these? Also I noticed the aftermarket lock kits come with a plug for the steering neck casting but I don't see this in the HD parts book, did HD put a plug in the neck to keep the weather out?

Thanks,

Joe

You might try Bill Morris at Bills Custom Cycles---
http://www.billscustomcycles.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
His wife is 'Zimalady' on eBay, and she was selling a lot of them a year ago or so--- don't know anything more than that, just a suggestion.
And Yes, there's a welsh pulg in the steering head.

Just a heads up. One day your dealing with Bill he's ok, Mr. easy, then he can turn like he's bi-polar.
My experience has been, tread lightly and know exactly what your talking about or he gets real annoyed.

Yes, I should have said he can be old and grumpy... but many of us can be at times...! Besides, with a wife named Zimalady, ...well, never mind. :D
When seeking parts or information, I do my best to keep it impersonal. Kinda learned that the hard way........
