This is part no.61122-39 I dont see how it fits in ,or what stops it from falling out .I noticed one parts book says its for standard seat ?? I just loosly mounted the tanks and dont have the seat post in yet.. this part looks like the wiring harness loom may run under it ,but it still is a puzzel to me ..
Can someone help please ?

ps I just noticed the t-bar seat suport would run down this area ,but its still in another box, Maybe I should mout it first then the tanks ,it looks like thats the easiest way ,then maybe I'll see where this strip goes.

The rubber insert yer talkin bout just slides between the two tank halves. The speedo cover will secure the front of it, and the rear just hangs in the breeze. The first time ya lift yer seat up to check the oil, the T-Bar will jam against it. Most people except pureists don't know it exists....bosheff
