model 52 generator output

#1

Post by Scrap » Sat Jul 21, 2012 4:20 am

I was asked by "splitdorfreg" what the output capacity of a model 52 was in order to determine if it was beyond the design of his regulator. Can anyone tell me what the output capacity is compared to a model 32E? If it's in the knowledge base, just point me in the right direction.
Thanks

I believe the current rating on the 2 is identical, at a max of around 15A.

The 32E uses 2 different field coils, with the Regulating Coil pulling more current, while the 52 uses 2 identical field coils.

Thanks, I guess the regulator will work, it looks just like the cutout. Hope it works as well as it looks.

$135.00, not cheap but probably worth it if you need the benefits of a two brush generator.
