Headlight Adjustment

#1

Post by King » Wed May 09, 2007 2:55 pm

Hi All

I have an aggravating problem with the headlight on my 51FL. It won't stay in adjustment. It seems to have two positions that it will stay in one up in the trees and the other around 20 feet in front of the bike. I can hold it in the position I want and tighten up the nut but after a few miles it vibrates loose and drops into the nose down position.

Any suggestions??

I had similar problems with mine , I put a big thick flat washer , then a new split ring loc washer before the nut and it hasn't moved since . That light adj. is a bitch even with help, never wants to stay where you want it and seems to have a mind of its own when tightening . I wounder if it has some thing to do with it being a carrage bolt. Hope it helps.
