Panhead electrical relocation question

Post by dasweasel » Tue Jun 30, 2009 4:05 pm

I have a 1958 panhead that I removed the stock headlight fairing/housing and replaced it with a plain headlamp. This forced me to relocate the terminal block that was hidden underneath the original housing. I rewired the terminal block onto what I thought would be a thin junction block, and relocated it onto the lower frame bar between the two gas tanks. I think this is too tight a fit, as the tanks seem to be hitting the relocated junction box. I’d like to know what other people have done to relocate the terminal block, or any suggestions/recommendations.

simply stuff all the wires and junction block inside the headlight shell.

it has worked for millions of imported bikes. AND it is easier to trouble shoot and repair than removing your tanks!
