Tail Lamp Wire Routing

#1

Post by panpered » Wed Nov 11, 2009 1:43 am

What is the proper route the tail lamp wires take from the terminal box on a swingarm pan to the channel that is tacked up inside the rear fender?

I've got a great factory photo showing the routing on a 58 on my site ... Perry

Yep, that shows most of what I needed to know. The part it does not show can be assumed. There is a hole at the lower left front of the rear fender and it looks like the wire goes into that hole, which puts it in the correct location to run along the inside channel.

It may not be restoration correct, but now that I see the routing on the top of the oil tank, I have seen pictures with cloth tape to hold the wire loom tightly to the frame right above the left side of the oil tank.

Great picture of the buddy seat and peg details too, which I also needed.
