wiring again on 50 stock pan

I know the wiring diagrams in the electrical section, but does anyone have how all the wires are routed on a 50 FL with spots. Like where on the frame and what is tied by friction tape and what clips are where ?

moose,

just did a quick scan of the 50 bikes in the gallery none show what you need.

do you have a copy of palmer's book? fortunately most of the early pans are pretty much the same. they use 4 different clips and tape on the back bone.

moose

these photos i took years ago at davenport may help. they show the position of most of the clips.

app.php/gallery/album/51

mind you it is a '55, but i think there isn't much difference for a '50.

someone please chime in if you have better pics!

moose,

do you have all the clips you need?

if not, old dude sells them. i got everything for my '55 from bart in one bag. easy one stop shopping! just told him what year it was going on.

also, if you watch ebay wla down tube clips are the same as pans. and usually quite reasonable.

i found old fashioned friction tape at ace hardware, one roll is enough for about 30 bikes! one other place friction tape is used is where the looms enter the back of the dash plate. a couple of wraps around the loom keep it from backing out of the dash plate.

if i remember correctly there is a pretty good shot of the taping in palmer's book.
