mousetrap value

Post by longhorn » Sat Apr 28, 2012 2:30 pm

I was at a different hog shop the other day. :D
The guy had a mouse trap hanging in a window. 8)
It was off one of his old pans.
I'd like to buy it, for my 64, he told me to make an offer. I don't think, $10 is going to be enough.
What would a good mousetrap, with the cable, minus the chrome cover, be worth?
He's an old Harley guy.
He even had a dragbike there, with a knuckle bottom, and a shovel top. First time I'd seen that one.
He's your average biker, he took me for a tour of his place. 30-40 guns, over 10,000 rounds of ammo, and better than a hundred pounds of gun powder. My kind of guy.
Thanks
Jim

Jim,
Mousetraps usually sell in the $75 range with about $25 either way for correctness. Chrome ones are worth less than stock castings, extra for original cables, clamps, covers, etc. Early ones had painted covers.
