Mousetrap

Will a newer type mousetrap ( 65 & up) work on a oem 57 straight leg frame without clearance issues between the clutch lever rod and 63 outer primary cover?
Gracias,
Arnulfo

Arnulfo,
It will work. The newer unit just has an extra position for the rod to raise it over the aluminum primary and line up with the short clutch arm. If you use the stock early long clutch arm it all lines up.
I would guess you are asking because you already have one (or know of on you can get!), right? Otherwise just get an early one.

Robbie,
Thank you very much . I was considering a newer style one only because my thinking was that the newer style is an improvement over the old based on the rod mounting stud on the newer mousetrap is a permanent piece, not removeable like the older ones. I think i will use an older one as you suggest . I think it will work and look better because of the angle of the rod .
