Trans countershaft roller bearing

#1

Post by socalrider » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:18 pm

Can someone please tell me what the standard size is for these rollers? ( part # 9084 in 58'-68' parts book) the parts book says .125" but my micrometer says .123 on a new set of roller bearings.
Gracias,

.125 x .615 is standard, oversize .1255, .126
.123 is worn out.

As 1950Panhead said---length is .615 & Dia. is .125.---& they can be ordered oversize!---I may have misunderstood your ?--Did you say your new ones are at .123?--If they are --Try checking with another mic. that you know is dead-on! & do it at room temp.!--If I read it wrong ,,disreguard all I said!---GOOD-LUCK---RICHIE 8)

I bought a bunch of STD. size and they measure just shy of .125 also.Actually I ordered two sets that measured the same. They are about.0004 light or .1246.

Thanks for the responses men. Rich that is correct, new ones measured .123". I took your advise and measured at room temp and got a similar reading to nmaineron. .12420-.1245. Used a brand new starrett 0-1" micrometer.

If they measured .1246, Its good to go!, a few tenths, isnt going to hurt here!, remember when they warm-up they will be to size or a few tenths more!,If it were my tranny I would install them!--Good-LUCK--Richie 8)
