Spotlights

#1

Post by PanPal » Mon Sep 20, 2004 8:56 pm

I started cleaning up a set of old spotlights that came on my 59. I'm missing the bulb socket on one, have a bent bezel on another and one clear lense looks like it made contact with the road at some point. I thought I saw that V-twin sold replica's that they claim the parts are interchangeable with OEM lights. Anyone know if I can buy individual parts and if they will fit? The lights I have have the toggle switches in the back. They are guide, but can't remember what number was on them at the moment.

My bike has an original Guide spotlight and a V-Twin repop. They look pretty much identical apart from the toggle switch. The original has a ball end on the toggle which is missing from the repop. It looks like all the parts would be interchangeable, but I have not tried swapping them round. V-Twin sell some of the spotlight parts individually.

Thanks, I have both original toggle switches, so It should be pretty close from the outside anyway.
