Pinhole in Exhaust

#1

Post by ozwick86 » Wed Dec 05, 2007 4:29 am

I have a 1/8" size hole on my rear exhaust pipe that is blowing soot onto my oil bag. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it without replacing the pipe? My bike does backfire a little sometimes going down a hill I believe due to this condition. My Pan is a 59 FLH.

Thanks,

put a hose clamp over it until you can remove it and weld it up.

Stick a small poprivet in it, or a large sheetmetal screw, until you can remove it and weld it up.

Use a tig welder and weld it up without removing it.

Thanks for the replies.

I will need to go to my buddies to have him weld it.
