Duo-glide exhaust?

#1

Post by mogman » Sat Apr 05, 2008 9:32 pm

Something's not right with my Duo-Glide single exhaust system. I am running it as it was when I purchased the bike. When I look at pictures of Duo-Glides I see the muffler moved much farther forward than mine, with the muffler actually extending under the tool box. Mine has an extension on the back of the Y pipe. I have looked at removing the extension but the muffler would hit where the muffler support brace is bolted to the frame.
The support brace is bolted to the outside of the frame, is this incorrect???
Thanks
Craig

Thanks, that is just as mine is place but my Y pipe is shorter with an extension. This however is not like some of the pictures I have been looking at.
