With a '66 FL automatic advance distributor , idleing at normal rpm, should the timeing be retarded and then start to advance as you rev it up - or should it be advanced at idle ? Thanks for any info.

AA=(Auto Advance)

Idling should have "timing retarded"

On AA=(Auto Advance) when you begin climbing in rpm's it starts 'advancing'...

Full Adv. should be at @ approx 2,000 rpm's. w/all
(in good working order)
